Medieval female girdle with chain and rose mounts, 14th - 15th centuries (Code: EBS06+EM11-5+EM21-4)

This girdle is made of leather stripe 75 cm long and 2,5 cm wide, with attached round buckles and decorated with 4 mounts and 5 "rose" mounts. Chain 2 in 2 is included (40 cm long).

 Rose is considered as a flower of Holy Virgin. From Middle Ages, Rose was also a symbol of heaven and harmony. 

It was fashionable in the Middle Ages to decorate clothing with symbols that resembled of the Christian faith. Therefore medieval female belt with chain and rose mounts is ideal for creating perfect historically accurate look!
