Kyiv stands on the banks of Dniper river more than 1500 years. On the age of Kyiv Rus had been ruled by such famoust kunungs as Vladimir theGreat , Yaroslave the Wise and others. Main fortress was build of wood because soils were too soft for heavy stone fortresses.

Kyiv of 11-13th century was one of the biggest city of Europe and had six gates.
